The QCC Collection team consists of hospitality industry experts from Australia, Denmark, Indonesia, UAE, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Among us, we have more than 100 years of expertise in senior management roles across global hospitality groups including Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Shangri-La, Four Seasons, Toga Far East, as well as boutique brands like, Armani, naked, Anantara, Rosewood, Waldorf Astoria & KU DE TA.

The consultants in our collective have extensive finance, real estate, development, marketing, branding, master planning, food & beverage concept development, and hotel management experience. We are committed to delivering excellence in every project we work on.

Caspar P. Schmidt

Founder & Managing Director

Caspar has 25 years of experience in launching and opening hotel brands, as well as operating all aspects of multi-million dollar hotel portfolios across three continents. Before setting up QCC, he was spearheading the international development arm for naked Group in Shanghai, securing high Profile real estate deals across the globe as their CEO. He was also the Group COO of Veriu Hotels & Suites & Punthill Apartments, which he successfully launched into the Australian market as a growing diverse business with 18 locations in Sydney & Melbourne.

Caspar worked for Toga Far East Hotels for 14 years, where he launched the Adina Apartment Hotels brand in Europe before moving to Sydney to work as an Area Hotel General Manager overseeing the Sydney portfolio consisting of thousands of rooms with an annual turnover of more than A $130 million dollars.

Caspar sits on a number of industry advisory boards and has investments in several new start-up hospitality businesses which have later become market disruptors in Asia, Australia and Europe.

Hassan Tirmzi

Partner (Advisory Role) Middle East

Hassan Tirmzi is a seasoned Experiential Events Marketing and Operational professional with 17 years of experience and proven success with some of the world’s leading brands. Having been involved with industry leaders such as Hyatt, and Four Seasons he has specialised in MICE / Event Sales and Development including several international openings, re-brandings, and large-scale exhibitions / conventions within 5 star hotels, resorts, as well as golf clubs.

In addition to this Hassan has had experience handling hospitality and events for some of the world’s largest entertainers such as Destiny’s Child, Celine Dion, Craig David, and has also ventured outside hotels and handled all regional launches and activations for Samsung within the GCC.

Hassan has joined the QCC team to grow the Middle East Region specialising in Projects, investment, rebranding and operational advisory management.

Chris Chan

Partner (Advisory Role) Hong Kong

Chris Chan is a F&B restaurant developer, with a wealth of development experience. He has spent the last 20 years working in high-class F&B environments where he has taken his passion for food and wine to the next level. Chris has been the Operation Manager for Café De Coral in Hong Kong for five years, where he managed several brands in the casual dining department, with more than 20 restaurants in the portfolio including development of Don Don Tei, shanghai lao lao and Zakka Café concepts.

While at Café De Coral Chris was in charge of R&D and complete brand development. Chris spent 10 years with Maxims in Hong Kong prior to this where he worked in senior roles for a number of their concepts including: simplylife, pearl on the peak, Rice Paper, Miso and Eating Plus. He also worked in China where he launched “Simplylife”, a casual dining concept that is now in 18 locations in China.

Chris works with several clients in Business Development & Operations in Lake Egret HK, developing concepts of F&B, accommodation, adventures & watersport activities.
